Austin American Statemen Newspaper features Emitations Star Pendant on Thursday, March 24, 2005 | |
Austin American Statemen Newspaper By Jean Scheidnes AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF Thursday, March 24, 2005 Q: In the new movie "Be Cool," Uma Thurman is wearing a pendant in the shape of a star. It is very sparkly and lovely. Any chance of finding out where to get one? A: Ah, Uma. When "Pulp Fiction" was in theaters, a friend of mine copied her look from head to toe. The star pendant you covet is by Chanel. I called the nearest Chanel fine jewelry boutique, which is in the Bellagio in Las Vegas. A very polite man informed me that the pendant is pav‚ diamonds and 18K white gold, and it comes in two sizes. Small costs $3,100, large costs $4,800. The shape of the star is the same, but there is a difference in diamond weight. Still breathing? There is a faux version at www.emitations.com for a mere $45. -- Jean Scheidnes Style Q&A is written by Katy Barron and Jean Scheidnes.
