Celebrity Baby Adoption Boom

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are not the only Hollywood honchos who opt to adopt. With hearts as big as their bank accounts, many stars want to parent under-privileged kids from around the world while others choose to adopt kids close to home.



The number one man in Sheryl Crow's life is definitely her adopted infant, Wyatt Steven Crow, who was named after the singer's father and brother. The new mother says she does not feel any pressure to get married and plans to raise her son in Nashville, Tennessee. Crow told OK! magazine that she definitely plans to adopt more children.



Actor Goran Visnjic of the television series ER, and his wife Ivana, welcomed baby boy Tin into their home. We at Emitations' love how Ivana and Goran want to share their Croatian heritage with their adopted son, and named him after Croatian poet Tin Ujević.



Jennifer Aniston has not adopted yet but tabloid rumor has it that she's anxious to bring a baby home. The former Friends' ex-husband, Pitt, has adopted three kids while Aniston's best friends Courtney Cox and Sheryl Crow are also parents. Jen's fans would love to see this stylish and sweet woman as a mommy! However, in an interview with Larry King, Aniston stated that she'd rather not be a single mom, and that if she did adopt, it would be while married. "I know, and that's fantastic," Jennifer Aniston said about adoption, "For me personally, I'd like to share that with someone else." Jennifer has been seen out and about with hunky British male model Paul Sculfor.



In the case of high profile celebs, like, say, Madonna and her adopted Malawian son, David, controversy always follows. Many question whether the rich and famous are given privilege when it comes to adopting children. While it can take years of waiting and evaluation for a non-celeb to go through the adoption process, it seems like a celebrity can pick up their little bundle of joy as quickly as the latest Hermes bag. Of course, this may just be a misconception, since celebs do have the privilege of personal assistants and lawyers who can deal with messy bureaucratic paperwork behind the scenes while the celebs themselves work on their latest films or albums.
