I have never thought about buying a butterfly ring or jewellery. However, I seen this ring while browsing when doing my last order and just had to have it. (Well honestly, at first I debated long and hard whether to get the gold or silver version:)) I'm glad I did, it's amazing. Obviously very different to your standard cuts. It's quite sparkly. Pity the matching earrings were only studs and not dangles though, as I try to stay away from studs if at all possible as I generally don't like studs. I wore this out last night for the first time and caught myself looking at a fair bit. I'd certainly recommend it. One little problem I found with it is that usually my ring finger is a size 5 and they fit perfectly. With this ring though, it was falling over to the side as soon as I tried it on, so I had to put some ring guard solution on it so it'd stay put. I don't know whether you'd be able to go down a full size or not though so that makes it a little tricky. But if you're usually a half size and you buy a half-size larger, i'd suggest you go the half-size down with this ring.
One other thing is that there are 6 stones on the wings that are set higher than all the others, however 2 of those on the right wing aren't as high as the other 4 are. Also there are 2 "craters" that go down each side of the body of the butterfly. The one on the right is slightly larger and more uneven looking than the one on the left side. It's a bit hard to explain. So 'cos of that and the sizing I've had to drop off a star.
