US based customers can pay via their credit card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), their PayPal account, or through Google Checkout. 2. What are the costs and options for shipping? US based customers may choose free 10 day shipping with orders of $50 or more. Other options include 5-7 day shipping ($1.99), and expedited FedEx shipping ($24.95 for 2 day, $37 for overnight delivery). Canada based customers can choose free 14 business day shipping with orders of $75 or more. Other options include 14 business day shipping with no minimum purchase ($8.50). All other international customers can choose free 21 business day shipping with orders of $100 or more, 21 business day shipping with no minimum purchase ($13.70), or expedited 7 business day shipping ($46.00). Delivery time frames include business days only (Monday-Friday, NOT Saturday or Sunday). PLEASE NOTE: Shipping times are an estimate and cannot be 100% guaranteed. Sometimes the postal service and/or express delivery services have delays that we cannot estimate. 3. What is your return/exchange policy?
Most items can be returned or exchanged within 60 days of receipt. Items marked as special order must be returned within 5 days of receipt, and final sale items cannot be returned. Outlet items must be returned or exchanged within 10 days of receipt and are eligible for store credit ONLY. Some items may require a re-stocking fee. Exchanges are generally subject to a $3.95 exchange fee. Please contact us immediately if you receive an incorrect, damaged, or defective item. 4. What do I need to know if I'm an international customer? International customers must pay for their orders via PayPal, and can choose from either 7, or 21 business day delivery. Canadian customers can select from 7, or 14 business day delivery. Billing and shipping address information must be the same for your security. Orders are shipped out of the US via USPS and then turned over to your country's postal system. There may be delays and/or fees due to your country's customs policies that we cannot anticipate. Payment Options

Pay by Credit Card
  • Emitations.com offers customers several credit card payment options. At this time, we accept the following US issued credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. You must provide us with a working phone number in order for us to contact you to confirm your order, and in the event that any problems arise.

  • Emitations.com is very aggressive in getting law enforcement involved in cases of credit card fraud. Don't try it here! Your browser and the Emitations.com secure server encrypt confidential information during transmission, ensuring that transactions stay private and protected. If any unauthorized use of your credit card occurs as a result of your purchase from Emitations.com, simply notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Pay by PayPal
  • To pay with PAYPAL, place your order online and click either Proceed to Checkout (US based customers) or International Checkout (all international customers). You will then be directed to the PAYPAL WEBSITE to log in to your account and complete the order. Default prices on website are shown in US dollars. Please use our currency converter (click the globe icon that says Change Currency on the top right of the page) to estimate the total balance due in your local currency. All payments must be made in US dollars.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Customers who pay via PAYPAL will have the funds immediately deducted from their account. You may request a refund while you wait for the item to become available, but this may cause delays because we will need to request the funds again once the item is in stock and ready to ship. Please contact us promptly if you would like to have the payment refunded and then re-submit once your items are available.

  • Effective immediately, all international orders must have the same billing and shipping address. This policy is in place to ensure correct delivery and to protect our customers from fraud.

Pay by Google Checkout
  • If your order is eligible to be placed through GOOGLE CHECKOUT, the Google Checkout button will display below our "Proceed to Checkout" button in the Shopping Basket.

  • If you do not have a Google account already, you will have an opportunity to create one. Once signed in, you should see the Emitations items you have selected to purchase. After you place your order, Google will handle all communication regarding your order status. However, if at any time you have questions about your order, please feel free to contact us.

Pay by Money Order
  • To pay with a money order, please print out and use our MAIL ORDER FORM. We cannot reserve items prior to receiving payment, so your order will not be placed until you have mailed or faxed in our Mail Order Form.

  • If you don't have access to a printer, we can mail you a copy of the order form. Give us a call at (800) 652-5002.

Item Availability

Some of our jewelry may be noted as OUTLET, LIMITED, BACK-ORDER, SPECIAL ORDER, FINAL SALE, PRE-ORDER, or RESERVE NOW. We update our website every evening so it correctly reflects the availability of our jewelry, however, inventory levels fluctuate throughout the day. We will contact you via phone and email if we receive your order and it contains one or more items that will be delayed or are unavailable. Please refer to the following information regarding each item status:

Outlet:
  • Outlet items are drastically reduced in price and may be available for a limited time only. As such, they do NOT have the same return/exchange policy as most of our other items.
  • No refunds - all sales final.
  • Replacement will be provided if you report a damaged or incorrect item by calling 619-521-6744 within 10 days of delivery.
  • We cannot accept returns or exchanges on outlet items beyond this 10 day period.
  • Exchanges within 10 days will require our standard $3.95 exchange fee.
  • Exchanges for lower priced items will receive refunds in the form of store credit ONLY.
  • Returns within 10 days will receive refunds in the form of store credit ONLY.

Limited:
  • Items marked as limited have usually been discontinued by our suppliers, and as such we cannot re-order any more once we sell out. This is why some rings in particular will only list limited sizes as available.
  • If your requested item and/or size are no longer available, you are welcome to email us at info@emitations.com to request that we try to find a new supplier. We can't promise to acquire a new version, but we will try our best!

Back-Order:
  • Items marked as back-order are currently not in stock, but will be back in stock at some point. If an item is out of stock, we generally do not charge you for it until it is in stock and ready to be shipped. If you are paying via PayPal, we will retain your payment unless you request a refund in writing.
  • We will then need to send a new payment request when the item becomes available, which may delay your order a bit longer. Once the item is back in stock, we will contact you and proceed with processing the payment and shipping the item.
  • Domestic orders will be shipped with all available items via your selected method, and the back-ordered item(s) will be sent in a following shipment once available. The following shipment(s) will be sent via USPS First Class Mail unless you opt to pay for upgraded shipping. International orders will be held until all items are in stock, unless you request that multiple shipments be sent. Please note that you will be required to pay the international shipping fee for each shipment if you choose this option.
  • You are welcome to cancel the back-ordered item at any point prior to shipment; please send an email to info@emitations.com with your order number and request.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase a gift set that is not entirely available for immediate shipment, we will send the in-stock item(s) as soon as possible, and send the remaining item(s) in a shipment to follow once available. Our gift sets are reduced in price, so if you choose to cancel the back-ordered item(s) then the in-stock items will cost more than originally expected. This would be the equivalent of you cancelling an order for a gift set and purchasing the individual item only at the original (higher) price. Please contact us by phone or email if you have questions regarding item availability, individual versus gift set prices, and/or shipping policies.

Special Order:
  • Items marked as special order are generally exclusive and/or higher priced items which we may not keep a large stock of. As such, we will need to special request them from our suppliers, and it may take 6-8 weeks before they become available for shipment.
  • Any jewelry noted as special order has a LIMITED return/exchange period. These items do not have our standard 60 day return/exchange period, rather, they must be postmarked for return/exchange within 5 days of receipt. To expedite your request, please contact us in writing (send an email with your order number to info@emitations.com) and let us know that you will be returning a special order item.
  • If the 5 day deadline has passed, please be aware that we must simply send the original item(s) directly back to you. Special order jewelry that is postmarked later than 5 days will NOT be eligible for a return or exchange.

Final Sale:
  • Items marked as final sale have been drastically reduced in price, and as such are not eligible for a return or exchange. Please be aware when purchasing that this is literally a final sale, and if you send back the jewelry for a return or exchange we must simply send the original purchase back to you.
  • If your jewelry ARRIVES damaged, you must contact us in writing (send an email with your order number to info@emitations.com) within 5 days of receipt to review the return/exchange options available to you.
  • If your jewelry BECOMES damaged past the 5 day deadline, you will NOT be eligible for a return or exchange.

Pre-Order/Reserve Now:
  • Items marked as pre-order and/or reserve now are not currently in stock, but are still available for purchase. This generally applies to new arrival items, but may also apply to special order items. We may have a very limited quantity on hand, or we may need to order more jewelry items from our suppliers to fulfill your order. As such, the jewelry may not be available for up to 6-8 weeks.
  • If you purchase any such items, you will be reserving one or more of the items from the next jewelry shipment. This means that we will fulfill your order prior to making the jewelry available for general purchase on our website. All reserved items will be charged and shipped in the order that they were reserved.
  • We generally do not charge you for pre-order/reserve now items until they are in stock and ready to be shipped. If you are paying via PayPal, we will retain your payment unless you request a refund in writing. We will then need to send a new payment request when the item becomes available, which may delay your order a bit longer. Once the item is available, we will contact you and proceed with processing the payment and shipping the item.
  • Domestic orders will be shipped with all available items via your selected method, and the back-ordered item(s) will be sent in a following shipment once available. Placing an Order

To place an order through the Emitations.com website, follow these steps:

Shop Online
  • Click "ADD TO CART" on the pages displaying the products you want to purchase.
  • Adjust quantity if necessary on the Shopping Cart page.
  • Click either Proceed to Checkout (US customers), International Checkout (international customers) or Google Checkout.
Shipping & Billing Info
  • Enter your shipping information on the Shipping page.
  • Select your shipping method, and enter a phone number we can call to confirm your order.
  • Choose your payment type and enter your credit card information.
  • If the billing address on the credit card is different than the address you are shipping to, enter that information.
  • If you are paying with PayPal, you will receive an invoice within two business days.
  • Once we confirm that the invoice is paid, your order will be shipped out.
Complete Order
  • Enter your email address if you would like a confirmation email and tracking information.
  • If you have a coupon or gift certificate, enter that in the coupon field and click Apply.
  • If you have any special instructions or comments, enter them in the comments field.
  • Finally, review all the information you've entered so far on the Review page.
  • When you're satisfied that everything is correct, click "Proceed to Order Review".
  • Your order is now complete, and a confirmation number will appear on the page as momentarily.

Order Processing

All orders require 24 to 48 hours to be processed. This allows us time to verify billing and shipping information, and pull and inspect all items. If an item is not in stock, we will contact you within 48 hours and advise you of when we expect to ship it to you.

Sales Tax

Since Emitations.com is based in California, state law requires that we charge sales tax on orders shipped to customers residing in California. For customers residing in states other than California, please be aware that the taxing authorities in your state may charge you a "use" tax on your out-of-state internet purchases. While it is not the responsibility of Emitations.com to charge or collect this "use" tax, we're alerting our customers to this possibility as a courtesy. If you require further information, we suggest that you directly contact the tax authorities for your state.

After you place your order, you may receive emails and phone calls about your order. Below are examples of emails/phone calls you might receive:

Your order has been received:
  • This email confirms that we have received your order.
  • It includes your order number; please keep this information for your records.
Your order has shipped:
  • This email and courtesy phone call confirms that your order or part of your order has shipped.
  • The arrival time of your order depends on the shipping method selected, item selected, and your shipping location.
Important notice about your order:
  • There are a few reasons why you would receive this email, including: difficulty in processing your order, inability to ship to the address provided, duplicate order, or cancellation of order.
  • Should you receive a notice like this, please call a Customer Care Representative at (800) 652-5002 as soon as possible so that we may resolve the problem.

Top Reasons for Order Delays

We try our best to ship orders as quickly as possible, with about 94% of all orders shipped and delivered on time. Most items are normally shipped within 48 hours, assuming availability, for orders placed before 12pm PST and paid with credit card without complication. Some delays, however, may occur. The following list of the top reasons for these delays is provided to help customers to understand the process and avoid delays. Please email us if you have any questions or suggestions.
  • Credit card not authorized: When the billing address and zip code do not match what the bank has on file, we first call the customer to verify the correct address. On occasion we'll contact your bank to provide us with address verification. A declined credit card can be another delay, but feel confident that an Emitations customer service representative will be in contact with you to quickly resolve any order issues.

  • Billing address different from shipping address: The billing address must be the address the bank has on file. Sometimes a copy of picture ID is required. We take online fraud and identity theft very seriously. Please understand that order delays are most often caused by activities on our part that safeguard you from possible fraud.

  • Incorrect shipping address and/or zip code: FedEx and USPS will return packages if they are unable to locate an address, which causes us to have to re-send. Please know that we do everything we can to minimize this issue by calling customers to verify if an address or zip code seems problematic. However it is the responsibility of the customer to verify the accuracy of all billing and shipping information, and to take the time to look over your order. An email confirmation of your information can go a long way towards speeding up your order.

  • Incorrect shipping method chosen: Please take a moment to read the restrictions on the shipping method you have chosen. FedEx does not deliver to PO boxes. If the incorrect shipping method is chosen, we will contact you before shipping, which may result in a delay.

  • No one is home to accept package: FedEx and USPS will often require signature upon delivery. Delivery will be attempted a maximum of three times before being sent back to the shipper. All orders can be tracked on the USPS.COM WEBSITE or FEDEX.COM WEBSITE.

  • Holiday Delays: USPS and FedEx do not guarantee any shipment time frames during the winter holiday season. Make your gift purchases and arrangements early and avoid the holiday rush!

  • Back-Order or Reserve Now Items: We will contact you if you have ordered a back-order or reserve now item, and provide an expected arrival time. Most of these items are listed as such on our site, so take the time to check and make sure that the item shows as available if you need it in a hurry!

  • Orders placed during non-business hours: We are open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST. Orders placed during the evening, over the weekend, and/or on holidays will not be processed until the next business day.

PLEASE NOTE: We apologize, but we don't carry half size rings on our site at this time. We recommend purchasing a ring one size up from the desired half-size. For instance, if you are a 6.5 we would recommend a size 7. All rings fit differently depending on the width of the band and style of the ring, so you may find that you can wear a range of sizes.

Tracking Your Order

You will receive an email confirming that the order has shipped once it is picked up by USPS or FedEx. The email will include a tracking number that you can input at their website for tracking information. Please note that some shipping options provide only limited tracking information. Please enter your tracking/shipment number at either the USPS.COM WEBSITE or FEDEX.COM WEBSITE for details on your delivery.

Missing or Lost Packages

International shipments will be sent out via the US Postal Service and then turned over to your countrys local postal service (ex: Canada Post, Royal Mail). Once your local postal service has collected the package from customs we may have a difficult time tracking it due to the languages and hours of operation common in your country. As such we may provide you with whatever tracking information we have access to, and request that you follow up with your postal service to locate the package if it is lost or delayed.

Once a package has been shipped out per your order specifications, it is literally out of our hands and becomes the responsibility of the postal service that you selected. Please note that this may include FedEx, USPS, or the postal service for the country that the package is being delivered to. If your package does not arrive as planned, please contact us for assistance! We are happy to help you locate the package if possible. If the package cannot be located, we will provide you with a replacement or refund once our standard procedure has been completed. This will require:

  • Customer must complete and return (via postal mail, fax, or scanned email) a signed affidavit of non-receipt (MANDATORY for all orders in which a replacement or refund is requested because the customer noted that the package was never received).

  • By signing the aforementioned affidavit, customer agrees that they will immediately ship back the original package - and cover all costs of shipping the package back to us - if it is received after a replacement or refund has been issued.

  • Emitations requires this form for our own protection, and as documentation to the shipping service so that we can file a claim.

PLEASE NOTE: Postal fraud is a serious crime and Emitations is obligated to provide appropriate documentation when filing claims of packages that were not delivered as planned. Because we will provide a free replacement or refund upon receipt of this signed document, it is absolutely required in order to proceed. Please do NOT expect a replacement or refund if you are not willing and able to complete the required documentation.

Shipping Restrictions

  • Delivery time frames include business days only (Monday-Friday).

  • Business days do not include weekends, U.S. national holidays, and/or any national holidays in the country the package is being delivered to.

  • Your delivery may require a signature upon receipt.

  • International deliveries may be subject to customs fees or tariffs that we cannot predict in advance.

  • International orders must have the same billing and shipping address information.

  • FedEx packages cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes, so please use a valid street address if you opt for expedited FedEx shipping.

  • FedEx orders must be placed prior to 12pm, PST to ensure same day shipment. In addition, all items must be in stock and the payment must go through with no complications. Otherwise, your FedEx package may not ship out or arrive within the requested time frame.

  • Emitations will make every effort to contact customers with order issues that may cause delay, however, we request that you check these details in advance to ensure smooth shopping.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Return/Exchange Form

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return most items in their original and unworn condition within 60 days for a refund or exchange. (Shipping and handling fees are not refunded). Items received after 60 days from date of receipt will not be accepted. Items noted as Special Order must be sent back within 5 days of receipt. Outlet items must be sent back within 10 days of receipt and are eligible for store credit refunds only. Final Sale and/or Clearance items cannot be returned or exchanged. Additional exchange or re-stocking fees may apply. Refunds are processed within 15 business days of receipt.

PDF (Portable Document Format) files allow forms to be used and downloaded by clients internationally and from various computer platforms with a minimum of fuss and hassle.

Return and Exchange Instructions
  • Repack the item in the original packing materials (postal box, packing peanuts, etc) and send it in a PROTECTIVE package. PLEASE NOTE: premium gift boxes ($5.99 each) are final sale items that may NOT be returned. Please do not include them in your return/exchange package. We are unable to issue refunds for items lost or damaged due to unsecure packaging. Important: some items consist of several parts or pieces. Always return the entire item or set for a replacement or refund. This is particularly true for wedding ring sets (you must return both/all rings from the set, or we cannot accept your return or exchange request), and jewelry sets of necklaces and earrings.

  • Complete the Return/Exchange form that is provided with your package. If you need an additional copy, it can be acquired by CLICKING HERE. It must be filled out in full, including your reason for the return or exchange and all other information necessary to process your request promptly. (PLEASE NOTE: Your order may be subject to a return re-stocking fee or an exchange fee. Please see details on potential fees prior to purchasing.)

  • Save a copy of the packing slip for your records.

  • Ship the package insured and prepaid via U.S. Mail, UPS, or FedEx. Save your shipping receipt until you receive your refund or replacement. If your package is not insured and you do not have proof of shipment, we will not be able to issue refund for packages lost in transit.

  • If the item is a gift it is important that the order number be written on the Emitations.com return slip. As with any purchase, the gift recipient may exchange the item or elect to receive an Emitations.com gift certificate instead of a refund.

  • Exchanges received after 60 days will be handled on an individual, case-by-case basis and may require additional fees. Please contact customer service at (800) 652-5002 for more information.

60 Day Return Policy

We're confident that Emitations.com's fine and faux jewelry will meet, if not exceed, your expectations. No purchase at Emitations.com is complete until you're completely satisfied. You can return most items to us within sixty (60) days of the shipping date for the full purchase price, minus shipping and handling fees. Items that have been worn, damaged, and/or altered will not be refunded or exchanged. Items noted as special order must be sent back within 5 days. Final Sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Outlet items have a 10 day limited warranty and no refunds will be issued for them - only Emitations.com store credit. Additional exchange or re-stocking fees may apply.

Exchange Fees

All domestic (US) exchanges require a $3.95 processing fee. All international exchanges require a $5.95 processing fee. This fee covers the cost of postage for us to ship the exchange item to you, and it accounts for time and resources utilized when processing your exchange. The fee will be charged to the original credit card used for purchase. If you originally paid via PayPal, we will request a payment of the exchange fee via PayPal, which must be received before we proceed with your request. If we are unable to collect the exchange fee, your exchange request will be processed as a return, and any applicable refund will be applied to the original form of payment (credit card or PayPal account).

If you received your jewelry as a gift, and/or would prefer to use an alternate form of payment for the exchange fee, you must provide complete credit card details on the return/exchange form. This includes the cardholder's full name, the billing address, and the 3 digit CCV (security code) number from the back of your card. If you do not feel comfortable providing this information by mail, you can also contact us via phone or email. If you received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us immediately by phone or email. You may request that return and exchange fees be waived if you receive an order with a damaged, defective, or incorrect item. Re-Stocking Fees

Special order items, jewelry items that cost $200 or more, and certain couture cocktail rings are subject to a 15% re-stocking fee. Please be aware that your refund will be for the purchase price of the jewelry, less the 15% fee. If you are not sure if an item may be subject to a re-stocking fee, please contact us prior to purchasing. Final Sale/Special Order/Outlet

Any jewelry noted as final sale has been drastically reduced in price, and as such is not eligible for a return or exchange. Please be aware when purchasing that this is literally a final sale, and if you send back the jewelry for a return or exchange we must simply send the original purchase back to you. If your jewelry ARRIVES damaged, you must contact us in writing (send an email with your order number to info@emitations.com) within 5 days of receipt to review the return/exchange options available to you. If your jewelry BECOMES damaged past the 5 day deadline, you will NOT be eligible for a return or exchange.

Any jewelry noted as special order has a LIMITED return/exchange period. These items do not have our standard 60 day return/exchange period; rather, they must be postmarked for return/exchange within 5 days of receipt. To expedite your request, please contact us in writing (send an email with your order number to info@emitations.com) and let us know that you will be returning a special order item. If the 5 day deadline has passed, please be aware that we must simply send the original item(s) directly back to you. Special order jewelry that is postmarked later than 5 days will NOT be eligible for a return or exchange.

Any jewelry noted as an outlet item has a LIMITED return/exchange period. These items do not have our standard 60 day return/exchange period; rather, they must be postmarked for return/exchange within 10 days of receipt. To expedite your request, please contact us in writing (send an email with your order number to info@emitations.com) and let us know that you will be returning an outlet item. If the 10 day deadline has passed, please be aware that we must simply send the original item(s) directly back to you. Outlet items that are postmarked later than 10 days will NOT be eligible for a return or exchange. Outlet items are NOT eligible for refunds - only Emitations.com store credit will be issued.

Incorrect Or Damaged Items

If you receive your jewelry order and it contains any incorrect, damaged, or defective items, please contact us right away! We have policies in place to take care of such issues for you, and we welcome the chance to make things right. Slight irregularities and variations in silversmith work and in natural stone colors are characteristic of the uniqueness and individual hand craftsmanship of the jewelry and should not be considered as defective. Please refer to the information below for further assistance:
  • Contact us by phone and/or email IMMEDIATELY

  • Be sure to include your name, order number, and the name or item code of the problem item(s).

  • If you cannot contact us right away, be sure to call or email within five (5) business days of receiving your package. If you contact us regarding an incorrect, damaged, or defective item past this five (5) day period, we may be limited in how we are able to best assist you.

  • Please do NOT mail back any incorrect, damaged, or defective items without advance confirmation from Emitations.com. This is very important!

  • In most cases we will provide you with a postage pre-paid envelope that you can use to return the problem item(s). Each order is handled individually, though, so we may offer you an alternate solution.

  • Please note that return postage fees for incorrect, damaged, and/or defective items will NOT be refunded without prior written authorization from Emitations.com.

Refund Processing

All requests will be processed after our returns department inspects and verifies the condition of the item. Returns and exchanges take approximately 15 business days to process upon receipt of the item. Please attempt to return every item with all of its original materials. All applicable refunds must be credited back to the original form of payment. We will automatically apply the funds back to the credit card or PayPal account used when purchasing the jewelry, and the refund cannot be issued to any other card or account. We ask that you provide the last four digits of the credit card on the return/exchange form so that we can double check that your refund is being processed correctly. Please note that we will apply the refund to the original form of payment, even if you note a different card or account on your return/exchange form. If you no longer have access to the card or account used for purchase, you are responsible for contacting your bank, credit card company, and/or www.paypal.com to find out how to access the money that was refunded. We have this policy to protect our shoppers, and prevent fraud!

Outlet items are not eligible for refunds to the original form of payment. If you return an outlet item - and/or exchange an outlet item for a lower priced item - any applicable refunds will be issued as Emitations.com store credit ONLY. Please keep this in mind when shopping - no refunds will be issued to your credit card or PayPal account for a returned or exchanged outlet item.

If you are confused about the amount of your refund, or if you would like an explanation of any return, exchange, or processing fees applied, please contact us via phone or email. Please keep in mind that refunds generally take longer to appear on your bank or credit card statement than charges do. You should allow 5-7 business days for your refund to clear on your online or by phone banking transaction history. If you purchase a piece of jewelry and it goes on sale within 14 calendar days, Emitations.com will gladly issue a refund in the form of store credit.   • The name of the product that is now on sale.

All returns and exchanges are processed in the order that they are received, within 15 business days. Applicable refunds will be processed and applied back to the original payment method within this time frame. To pay with PayPal, place your order online and click International Checkout. You will then be directed to the PayPal website to log in to your account and complete the order. Default prices on website are shown in US dollars. Please use our currency converter (click the globe icon that says Change Currency on the top right of the page) to estimate the total balance due in your local currency. All payments must be made in US dollars.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers who pay via PAYPAL will have the funds immediately deducted from their account. You may request a refund while you wait for the item to become available, but this may cause delays because we will need to request the funds again once the item is in stock and ready to ship. Emitations.com 14K White and Yellow Gold Jewelry Policy

14K Gold Jewelry 1 Year Guarantee

All Emitations 14K gold jewelry comes with a one year guarantee from the date of the original purchase, against any manufacturer’s defects that compromise the integrity of the structure of the jewelry. At Emitations' discretion we will repair or replace the item that is under guarantee. If for any reason the item in question has been updated or discontinued, Emitations at its option, will offer a replacement with a similar item or issue a store credit towards another in stock item of equal or greater value. Original receipt and order number must be presented for guarantee to apply and customers must maintain the original order number and receipt in order to facilitate any warranty work in the future. Warranty will apply only to the original purchaser and original purchased item. Work performed on Emitations jewelry by anyone other than Emitations will void any and all warranties, expressed or implied. Any items that display damage due to abuse or misuse will not be covered under the warranty, therefore voiding the warranty. Shipping fees will apply.

14K Gold Jewelry Availability and Shipment of Merchandise

All of Emitations’ 14K gold jewelry is special order. All 14K jewelry will require approximately 8 weeks for production and shipment. Your order will be charged in full at checkout. Once your item is received in our warehouse, please allow approximately 2 business days to process all orders, plus shipping time. Some orders may ship more quickly, but each piece of jewelry is custom created by hand to your specifications after you place your order. Emitations will notify you via email of your shipping confirmation number. If at any time during the 8 week production period or at time of shipment you request to cancel your order, a 25% cancellation fee will apply to all 14K Gold items.

14K Gold Return Policy

All 14K gold items items carry a ten (10) calendar day, money back guarantee, less the shipping charges (Item must be returned to Emitations within 10 calendar days of merchandise delivery to customer). You must receive a written Return Approval from an Emitations Customer Service Representative prior to shipping your return. Rush fees and Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Refunds will only be credited in the same manner as the original payment. For credit card purchases, the refunds will be posted to the original card that was used for the purchase. No exceptions. Refunds are generally issued within 15 business days.


Restocking Fees: Items returned without the original packaging, or if original packaging is damaged or altered will be subject to restocking fees. (Original packaging refers to jewelry gift box and outer box). Returns need to be carefully packed and we recommend the original shipping boxes if possible. Please note: We highly suggest all returns are sent in hard-sided boxes. Soft-sided packaging does not prevent damages to the jewelry. For your protection against loss during shipping, please make sure to insure your return package for the full value of the product. Additionally, any items not returned in brand new, saleable condition and/or show signs of any wear will be subject to a 20% restocking and repair fee.


Unauthorized 14K Gold Returned Items Sent to Emitations: Emitations will not accept 14K Gold items to be returned that have not been previously authorized for delivery. You must obtain an emailed Return Approval prior to sending the item back. Please e-mail info@emitations.com to obtain the approval letter. If 14K gold item arrives to a customer damaged or customer states the wrong item may have been shipped, Emitations’ must review the item(s) before we can proceed with a solution. Emitations’ must be notified within 24 hours of the delivery date that an item was received damaged or incorrect.

Outlet items are drastically reduced in price and may be available for a limited time only. Limited images and product details are provided, because we have limited quantities of each item and they tend to sell out quickly. SPECIAL REQUESTS

Customer Item Requests

All jewelry requests must be submitted via email to info@emitations.com, with the subject line 'Jewelry Request'. Additionally, all email requests must include an image of the requested item in order to receive a response. All jewelry requests are responded to in the order received, so please allow approximately 15 business days for a response. If we are able to provide the requested item, there will be a wait time of at least 6-8 weeks before it is available for purchase. Please note that we do not make individual custom items. We only create items that we feel will appeal to our broad customer base, so unfortunately we can't make customized pieces for individuals. Additionally, we cannot reproduce Super Bowl Rings, class rings, or any trademarked jewelry item (ex: Chanel Double C jewelry).

About .925 Sterling Silver

.925 sterling silver is comprised of 92.5% pure silver alloyed with other metals for strength, shine, and durability. Generally, the remaining 7.5% of the composition includes a harder metal such as copper or nickel. On its own, silver is quite soft and would not be able to withstand being formed into jewelry, or being worn on a daily basis. Quality sterling silver jewelry is usually stamped ".925 sterling silver", to indicate the purity of the metal. All products from Emitations.com are .925 sterling silver, unless otherwise noted. Other metals that we use include brass based metal, which is sometimes plated with more precious metals. Using brass based metals allows for a rich silver or gold hue at a lower price than .925 sterling silver.

We also carry jewelry where the sterling silver is specifically alloyed without nickel, for those people who have sensitive skin and/or nickel allergies. Many of our couture and special occasion jewelry pieces are made from 14k white or yellow gold, for a more luxurious look and feel. A rhodium finish, however, is not impervious to the effects of everyday wear and abrasion. To limit wear one should avoid household cleaning, gardening, and other activities that can quickly destroy the rhodium plating, thus exposing the slightly yellow tint of the white gold underneath. Even talc, which is found in many cosmetics, is known to have an abrasive effect on jewelry items. If wear does occur, most jewelry can be re-plated with rhodium at a local jeweler for a minimal cost. About E-coating

E-coating, also known as electro-coating or electro deposition, is a method that uses electrical current to coat a metal surface with an organic lacquer, covering every nook and cranny on the jewelry with an even and consistent protective coat. Gold Karats vs. Stone Carats

Gold karats refer to the percentage of pure gold in an item, specifically:

24k gold = pure gold 18k gold = 75% gold, usually alloyed with a base metal such as copper or nickel 14k gold = 58.5% gold, usually alloyed with a base metal such as copper or nickel

Many people seem to refer to gold karats as being spelled with a 'K', and diamond/CZ carats as being spelled with a 'C'. Diamond carats are a measurement of the weight of the stone, where: 1 carat = 1/5 of a gram.

Cubic zirconia don't weigh the same as diamonds, but people usually consider carat as an indication of size, not weight. So, if we carry a product with a CZ that is 2 carats, it basically means that the stone is the same size (length, width, height) as a diamond of that carat weight.
